days
so the night weeps
and time stands still
and the moon is hidden
only the stars warm the sky
but she is still cold
so the dawn sighs
and time lumbers from her pillow
and the soldiers of habit slowly line themselves up
only to be discharged
in uniform blanks
so the days bleed
and time stretches
and the sun casts its hollow rays
and it doesn't warm the tears
let alone reach the marrow of the bone
so the dusk shudders
and time resigns herself
to shadows in the corner
that lie in wait
for days to be gone
and time stands still
and the moon is hidden
only the stars warm the sky
but she is still cold
so the dawn sighs
and time lumbers from her pillow
and the soldiers of habit slowly line themselves up
only to be discharged
in uniform blanks
so the days bleed
and time stretches
and the sun casts its hollow rays
and it doesn't warm the tears
let alone reach the marrow of the bone
so the dusk shudders
and time resigns herself
to shadows in the corner
that lie in wait
for days to be gone
